Sodium Sulfate Detection Kit for Monosodium Glutamate
Scope of application: This method is suitable for rapid on-site detection of sodium sulfate in monosodium glutamate.
Principle of Method 2: By utilizing the amphoteric effect of sodium acetate, aldehydes are added to fix the alkalinity of sodium acetate, causing the hydroxyl group to exhibit acidity. Titration is performed with a standard solution, and the endpoint is indicated by an indicator to determine the content of sodium acetate in the sample.
4 Operation method and result calculation: Accurately weigh 1.0g of monosodium glutamate into a 10 mL colorimetric tube, dissolve it in purified water and dilute it to the 10.0mL mark. Cover the tube and mix well. Take 2.0mL from it and put it into another 10 mL colorimetric tube, dilute it with water to the 10.0mL mark, take 2.0mL from it and put it into a 100mL triangular flask. Add 10.0mL of solution, add 60mL of water, add 4 drops of indicator, shake well, and use a dropper to titrate vertically until blue appears. Record the number of drops consumed by the titrant. With the same sampling amount, calculate its content based on each drop of titrant being equivalent to 2.85% grams of sodium acetate. At the same time, perform parallel blank sample titration and subtract it when calculating the sample content. The number of drops consumed by the blank solution.
