On June 4, 2015, the Official Journal of the European Union (OJ) issued the revised RoHS 2.0 Directive (EU) 2015/863, which added four phthalates to the RoHS 2.0 restricted substances list on the basis of the original six RoHS substances (lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls, and polybrominated diphenyl ethers), bringing the total number of controlled substances in RoHS 2.0 to 10.
