VGKC protein can bind to various sugar groups, including vitamin C, sodium bisulfate, sodium nitrate, etc., and participate in immune reactions on the cell surface. VGKC antibodies can be used to detect the level of VGKC protein on the cell surface, which helps to study the role of VGKC protein in cell apoptosis and immune response. Voltage gated potassium channel antibodies (VGKC Ab) can be detected in the peripheral nervous system, and are generally believed to be associated with acquired neural myotonia spectrum disorder (NMT) and spastic fasciculus tremor syndrome (CFS), as well as central nervous system disorders such as Morvan syndrome, epilepsy, and limbic encephalitis (LE). Detecting this antibody can assist in the diagnosis of autoimmune ion channel disease and related neurological disorders. This kit has high sensitivity and specificity, and its ease of use can effectively help diagnose diseases.
Clinical specificity
Using this reagent kit to test the serum of 100 healthy volunteers, 98 cases (98%) were diagnosed as VGKC antibody negative.
Clinical sensitivity
Using this reagent kit, serum samples from 30 patients suspected of voltage-gated potassium channel disease and related neurological disorders were tested, and 27 cases (90%) were diagnosed as VGKC antibody positive.
Detection lower limit
Detect negative quality control samples in the test kit 20 times, calculate the average and standard deviation of the results. The detection limit of this kit is 4.5 pmol/L at twice the standard deviation.
