Overview

The VGCC antibody in the VGCC antibody RIA detection kit is an antibody that can be used to detect the activity of glutathione receptor (VGCC). VGCC is a polypeptide chain membrane kinase that can function both inside and outside of cells. It can promote the flow of calcium ions in cells and activate other receptors on the cell membrane, such as sodium/calcium reversal peptide receptors.

Product Details

RSR-VGCC Antibody RIA Detection Kit
VGCC antibodyIt is an antibody that can be used to detect the activity of glutathione receptor (VGCC). VGCC is a polypeptide chain membrane kinase that can function both inside and outside of cells. It can promote the flow of calcium ions in cells and activate other receptors on the cell membrane, such as sodium/calcium reversal peptide receptors. These reactions contribute to many biological processes in cells, including signal transduction, cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. Mainly used for studying the functions of VGCC to better understand its mechanism of action. This antibody can be used to determine the activity of VGCC and to monitor the expression level of VGCC in cells. It can also be used to diagnose VGCC related diseases such as cardiomyopathy, epilepsy, and Alzheimer's disease.
VGCC antibodyThe research can help scientists understand the function of VGCC and contribute to the development of new drugs for treating VGCC related diseases. Therefore, VGCC antibodies are an important research tool that can help scientists understand the role of VGCC in biological processes, providing reference for the diagnosis and treatment of VGCC related diseases.
1. Expected use:
The RSR company's Voltage Gated Calcium Channel Protein Autoantibody Radioimmunoassay (VGCC Ab RIA) detection kit is specifically designed for quantitative detection of P-type VGCC antibodies (Ab) in human serum and is only for professional technicians to operate and use.
2. Detection significance:
VGCC has 5 types in different organizations: L, P/Q, N, R, T. Lambert Eaton myasthenia syndrome (LEMS), an autoimmune disease, is caused by the direct obstruction of P-type VGCC function by autoantibodies in the body, leading to the inhibition of acetylcholine release between neuromuscular junctions. Although LEMS is relatively rare, 50% to 60% of LEMS patients are found to have small cell lung cancer (SCLC). SCLC-LEMS patients with complications are mainly males over 50 years old, and the condition develops rapidly with a shorter survival time. In addition, approximately 40% of patients with paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration (PCD) have positive serum levels of P-type VGCC autoantibodies and are also associated with small cell lung cancer.
The autoantibodies of P-type VGCC are the most important in LEMS patients, and the RSR kit provides a sensitive and specific method for detecting such antibodies.
The clinical detection of P-type VGCC autoantibodies as biomarkers for the diagnosis of diseases such as LEMS is of great significance
(1) Assist in diagnosing LEMS or other related neuroimmune diseases.
(2) Pay early attention to the development of complications in small cell lung cancer and guide prevention.
(3) Track the effectiveness of LEMS treatment, cooperate with complication treatment plans, and prolong survival.
3. Characteristics of the reagent kit:
Clinical specificity: This kit was used to test the serum of 160 healthy volunteers, and all 160 cases (100%) were diagnosed as VGCC antibody negative.
Clinical sensitivity: This kit was used to detect the serum of 50 patients diagnosed with LEMS, and all 50 cases (100%) were diagnosed as VGCC antibody positive.
4. Sample requirements:
15 µ L serum per person (diluted 1:10 to 25 µ L per tube), avoid using lipid blood, hemolysis, and plasma samples.
5. Component characteristics:
25 well plate, liquid and freeze-dried powder.
