1. Overview: PXD21-IS is a portable instrument that uses a ceramic moisture sensor to measure dew point or moisture content in gases. It can directly read a wide range of moisture content on the display screen. The instrument has been calibrated within the dew point range of -80 to 20 ℃.

When you are about to use PXD21-IS, you will find that measuring with PXD21-IS is very simple: connect the sample gas to be measured, turn on the instrument power, wait for sufficient time for the system to reach equilibrium with the measured gas, and then read the value.

The design of the instrument has taken into account the requirements for shock and vibration resistance under normal operating conditions, and no additional protection is required when operating the instrument. If this instrument is subjected to abnormal impacts (such as falling), it cannot be used in hazardous areas until it has been inspected and no problems have been found. This instrument can only be stored and used within a specific temperature range.

If there is a problem with the instrument during use, it must be returned to the manufacturer for repair. Except for the manufacturer, no party can repair the product. If this is done, it will render the product certificate invalid.

The product cannot be exposed to a dusty environment. When installing and using this product according to the guidelines described in this manual, it cannot withstand mechanical forces.

2. Many factors can affect the accuracy and response speed of the instrument in terms of response characteristics. The most important thing among them is to use good sampling techniques. After connecting the instrument, it takes a short period of time for the airflow to reach equilibrium when passing through the system. The actual time depends on the material, length, and flow rate of the sampling pipeline.

3. From its design, PXD21-IS is suitable for measuring the moisture content of various gases. In general, if gas (including water vapor) * metal base, this hygrometer can be used for measurement. But if there are pollutants containing solid or hydrocarbon compounds, a coalescing filter should be used to filter them before passing them into the sensor. If only particulate pollutants are present in the sampling tube, an online particulate filter is sufficient. Instruments accredited sales and service centers can provide you with suitable filters.

5. Overview of the operation guide

1. Confirm that the instrument is in the off state. Connect the sampling tube to the instrument using only polytetrafluoroethylene or stainless steel tubes and high-quality connectors. Set the flow rate to approximately 0.5-5L/min through the following two methods (flow requirements are not strict)

a. Perform flow control before the PXD21-IS inlet, and directly vent the outlet when measuring the atmospheric dew point.

b. Perform flow control after the outlet of PXD21-IS and measure the dew point under pressure.

If the fluctuation of the measured gas does not exceed ± 0.4 ℃ within 1 minute (default setting), the sampling system should be clean and dry, which will take 5-10 minutes depending on the actual measurement value.

3. Turn off the instrument

Attention: Filters are crucial for gases that may be dirty or contaminated. If filters are installed in the sampling system, please check their condition before and after use, and replace them regularly if necessary.

Most measurement errors come from incorrect sampling techniques. As mentioned above, only clean and high-quality pipelines can be used.
