Product UsageSelective isolation and cultivation of Burkholderia cepacia in pharmaceuticals.
Inspection principle:Peptone and yeast extracts provide carbon sources, nitrogen sources, vitamins, and minerals; Lactose and sucrose are fermentable sugars; NaCl adjusts osmotic pressure; Phenol red is an acid-base indicator. Crystal violet inhibits the growth of Gram positive bacteria, while penicillin, vancomycin, and polymyxin B inhibit the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and other Burkholderia.
