Product Description:

N-sulfocarbamoylgonyautoxin-2 and -3 (C1&2) are analogues of saxitoxin [1], found in marine microalgae [2] and freshwater cyanobacteria [3]. CRM-C1&2-c is a certified calibration solution for C1 and C2 in dilute acetic acid (20 uM, pH 5), designed to assist in identifying and quantifying C1&2. This is an alternative calibration solution for CRM-C1&2.

Expected use:

CRM-C1&2-c is a certified calibration solution designed specifically for the development and precise quantification of analytical methods for C1&2. This concentration is suitable for preparing dilution series for calibration of liquid chromatography instruments such as pre/post column oxidation fluorescence (LC-ox FLD) or mass spectrometry (LC-MS) detection, as well as control samples for spiked recovery experiments.


Stability:

The stability study of CRM-C1&2-b and - c shows that C1&2 has good stability when stored in acetic acid aqueous solution (20 μ M, pH 5) in sealed ampoules at -12 ℃ or below.


Preparation of CRM-C1 and 2-c:

N-sulfocarbamoylgonyautoxin-2 and -3 (C1&2) were isolated from large-scale laboratory cultures of Alexandrium tamarense, and then purified through several chromatographic steps [4]. The structure and purity of C1 and 2 were confirmed by LC-MS/MS [5,6] (Figures 1 and 2) and 1H NMR. The measurement accuracy of [m+H] * ions for C1 and C2 using LC high-resolution MS (LC-HRMS) is 476.04998 m/z (Δ=0.2ppm for C10H18N7O11S2 *). The purity was further evaluated by LC ox FLD [7] (Figure 3), UV capillary electrophoresis (CE-UV) [8], and LC chemiluminescence nitrogen detection (LC-CNS) [9].

Prepare stock solutions by diluting purified C1 and 2 in dilute acetic acid (20 μ M, pH 5) for quantification using 'H-NMR (qNMR)' [10]. Prepare CRM-C1&2-c solution by accurately diluting the stock solution in degassed dilute acetic acid (20uM, pH 5). Distribute the aliquots into clean amber glass ampoules filled with argon and immediately seal with flame. Each ampoule contains approximately 0.5 milliliters of solution.
