background The universal reference antibody cocktail is a set that includes antibodies commonly used in immunological experiments (WB, IHC-P, IF) such as β - actin, GAPDH, and β - Tubulin, as well as antibody dilutions. There are many types of reference antibodies, therefore, it is necessary to choose a suitable reference antibody, which should follow the following three principles: 1 Considering the species genus, for mammalian tissues and cells, commonly used reference proteins include β - actin, Tubulin, GAPDH, Lamin B1, PCNA, Na+/K+- ATPase, etc; For plant samples, commonly used are Plant actin and Rubisco. Consider the molecular weight of the target protein. 2. The selected reference protein should have a different molecular weight (>5 KDa) from the target protein in order to distinguish the target protein band. For high molecular weight proteins (over 100 kDa), we recommend customers to use Vinculin as an internal reference; 2.
