The working principle of an electric globe valve is to rotate the valve to make it open or close. A、 Opening process
1. In the closed position, the valve body is tightly pressed against the valve seat by the mechanical pressure of the valve stem.
2. When the handwheel is turned counterclockwise, the valve stem moves in the opposite direction, and its bottom angular plane causes the ball to detach from the valve seat.
3. The valve stem continues to lift and interacts with the guide pin in the spiral groove of the valve stem, causing the ball to start rotating frictionlessly.
4. Until it reaches the fully open position, the valve stem is lifted to the limit position, and the ball rotates to the fully open position.
B、 Closing process
1. When closing, rotate the handwheel clockwise and the valve stem begins to descend, causing the ball to move away from the valve seat and begin to rotate.
2. Continuing to rotate the handwheel, the valve stem is subjected to the action of the guide pin embedded in its spiral groove, causing the valve stem and gate to rotate 90 ° simultaneously.
3. When it was about to close, the brake body had already rotated 90 degrees without contact with the valve seat.
4. In the last few turns of the handwheel, the angular plane at the bottom of the valve stem mechanically wedges and presses the ball tightly against the valve seat, achieving sealing.

2、 Structural characteristics of electric globe valve
1. Open and close without friction. This function solves the problem of traditional valves affecting sealing due to friction between sealing surfaces.
2. Top mounted structure. Valves installed on pipelines can be directly inspected and repaired online, which can effectively reduce equipment downtime and lower costs.
3. Single seat design. Eliminating the issue of abnormal pressure rise in the valve chamber medium affecting safety during use.
4. Low torque design. The valve stem with a special structural design can be easily opened and closed with just a small handle.
5. Wedge shaped sealing structure. Valves rely on the mechanical force provided by the valve stem to press the ball wedge onto the valve seat for sealing, ensuring that the sealing performance of the valve is not affected by changes in pipeline pressure difference, and reliable sealing performance is guaranteed under various working conditions.
6. Self cleaning structure of sealing surface. When the sphere tilts away from the valve seat, the fluid in the pipeline passes uniformly along the sealing surface of the sphere at a 360 ° angle, which not only eliminates the local scouring of the valve seat by high-speed fluid, but also washes away the accumulated substances on the sealing surface, achieving the purpose of self-cleaning.
7. Valve bodies and covers with diameters below DN50 are forged parts, while valve bodies and covers with diameters above DN65 are cast steel parts.
8. The connection forms between the valve body and the valve cover are different, including clamp pin shaft connection, flange gasket connection, and self sealing threaded connection.
9. The sealing surfaces of the valve seat and valve disc are made of plasma spray welding or surfacing cobalt chromium tungsten hard alloy, which has high hardness, wear resistance, abrasion resistance, and long service life.
10. The valve stem material is nitriding steel, and the surface hardness of the valve stem after nitriding is high, wear-resistant, scratch resistant, corrosion-resistant, and has a long service life.

The disadvantage of entering from the lower part of the medium valve core is that the driving torque of the valve is large, about 1.05-1.08 times that of entering from the upper part. The axial force on the valve stem is large, and the valve stem is prone to bending. An electric globe valve consists of an electric or pneumatic actuator and a globe valve. Its closing component is a valve body that rotates around the centerline of the valve body to open and close. Electric shut-off valves generally use the method of medium entering from above. When installing an electric shut-off valve, it should be noted that the shut-off valve is mainly used for controlling pipelines such as water, steam, and compressed Chinese air in actual production, but it should not be widely used in materials with high viscosity and easy crystallization. When installing and using this electric globe valve equipment, the following points should be noted:

When opening a medium pressure steam pipeline, the condensate should be removed before opening, and then the pipeline should be preheated with steam to a preheating pressure between 0.2~0.3 MPa, to avoid sealing damage caused by sudden changes in temperature and pressure. After confirming that the state is stable, the pressure can be adjusted to the required level.
2. Before opening the electric shut-off valve, a leak test should be conducted to determine whether the valve has no leakage defects and whether the packing box has no leakage defects.
If the operation of the electric globe valve stem cannot be completed by hand, a special wrench can be used to replace it. However, when the wrench cannot be opened, do not use a telescopic wrench to forcefully open and close it, in order to avoid valve damage or even safety accidents.
4. Pay attention to the flow direction of the medium when installing the electric globe valve, and strictly follow the direction indicated by the flow arrow when installing the valve.
5. The electric globe valve can be installed at any position in the pipeline, and can be selected to use carbon steel or alloy steel valves according to different media and media temperatures.
6. Electric globe valves should be installed as vertically as possible, and the valve stem should be installed as upward as possible.
