High voltage meter for static discharge testing point inspection
The electrostatic discharge immunity test (ESD) is a complex test with high repeatability and comparability. When there are differences in the test, how to determine the source of the differences has become the main issue in ESD testing.
Generally speaking, the deviation of ESD is mainly concentrated in four aspects:
1. The deviation value of the testing equipment itself;

2. Test the rationality of the configuration and the issue of good grounding;
3. Testing techniques of operators;
4. Environmental temperature and humidity, etc.
The above four situations have caused uncertainty in the final test results. In order to ensure the consistency of the experiment, the GB/T 17626.2-2018 version of the standard specifically mentions the verification of ESD layout, as shown in the screenshot below
The verification method mentioned in the above standards is to discharge the coupling plate and observe the size of the discharge spark to determine. However, this judgment method is not accurate, as we cannot use a vernier caliper to measure the distance of the spark. Similarly, adding a set of gun targets, Faraday cages, and oscilloscopes with bandwidths above 2GHz to verify the equipment is expensive and has low utilization. Not the first choice.

Usage
1 Connect the ground wire of the discharge gun to the GND terminal of the device
2. Before pressing the trigger switch of the discharge gun, the discharge tip () should be in contact with the ESD input terminal.
3. When the set holding time is reached, the built-in buzzer emits two beeps to stop updating [Holding V.], and alternately displays "voltage holding rate" and "decrease rate" every second. The following table provides an example of a reference voltage of 15.0 kV and a holding voltage of 13.5 kV.
4. The holding voltage obtained by this product includes the voltage drop caused by the built-in 1 T Ω resistor.
The voltage drop varies as follows, depending on the charging and discharging capabilities of the installed CR unit
