Overview

The DS-1000 dynamic imaging instrument is a new type of dynamic online particle image analysis instrument developed in collaboration between Zhuhai Euro American Instrument Co., Ltd. and Malvern Panalytical.

Product Details

DS-1000Dynamic imaging deviceIt is a new dynamic online particle image analysis instrument developed in cooperation between Zhuhai Ouaike Instrument Co., Ltd. and Malvern Panalytical. This instrument can be used as an independent deviceDynamic imaging deviceIt can also be used as an image attachment to connect to a laser particle size analyzer.

The DS-1000 uses lensless imaging technology to observe a wide range of particle sizes (1.4~1400 μ m), and can measure particle morphology data in real-time, including particle size, roundness, and aspect ratio distribution. It uses an innovative "dispersion index" indicator to quantify the dispersion status of samples and provides unique automatic monitoring function for abnormal particles. Combining the morphological data of particles, DS-1000 provides a simple and effective new method for quality control of powder particles. When connected to a laser particle size analyzer, the DS-1000 not only provides additional particle morphology data, but also helps users find testing conditions faster and improve the accuracy of test results.

Working Principle:

The DS-1000 adopts wet injection, and when connected to a circulating injector, the dispersed sample will circulate in the instrument and injector. The important parts of DS-1000 are the design of precise sample windows, imaging devices, and image processing techniques. When the dispersed sample flows through the sample window, the instrument can obtain real-time images of the sample and output the particle size and shape information of the sample in real time. Due to the use of lensless technology, there is no need for pre centering, focusing, or calibration when using this instrument.

The DS-1000 adopts dynamic background processing algorithms and image processing algorithms, combined with lensless technology, to achieve dynamic and online particle image analysis.

Performance characteristics:
【 Easy to use 】
Small in size and easy to install, it can be connected separately to the sampler or simultaneously to the laser particle size analyzer and sampler. It uses lensless dynamic imaging technology, which does not require users to focus or calibrate during regular operations.

Rich software features and optimized user experience

The software interface design of DS-1000 is intuitive and simple, providing options for image capture and data analysis. Continuous display and analysis of images between measurements, with the option to manually or automatically save images and results based on events. The software monitors the dispersion status through a dispersion index trend chart, making it easy to adjust and optimize testing conditions, while also having a unique automatic capture function for abnormal particles.

Easy maintenance and cleaning

The DS-1000 is designed to be compatible with water quality and multiple organic dispersants, requiring minimal maintenance during use. When used in conjunction with a laser particle size analyzer, the sample window and tubing can be cleaned using the cleaning process of the laser particle size analyzer itself, so there is no need for additional cleaning during regular operation. If contamination is found in the sample window, it can be easily opened for cleaning.

Software features

【 Testing particle size and shape 】
Within the measurement range of the instrument, DS-1000 provides independent particle size analysis reports and image analysis reports, including commonly used particle morphology data such as particle size, roundness, and aspect ratio distribution.

Automatic detection of abnormal particles
By using algorithms, DS-1000 can achieve automatic detection of abnormal particles. When large particles, agglomerates, or impurity particles pass through the sample window, they will be automatically captured by the instrument. In addition to on-site images, the size, distribution, and shape of these abnormal particles will also be recorded.

Quickly optimize testing conditions
In laser particle size analyzer testing, whether the particle sample can be fully dispersed will directly affect the accuracy of the test results. After using the DS-1000 online system, users can intuitively determine whether the current testing conditions are correct by observing real-time images of dispersed particle size and shape, such as sample aggregation, disintegration, or dissolution. In addition, the DS-1000 also provides a quantitative parameter called "dispersion index" for real-time evaluation of changes in sample dispersion status, which can help users find testing conditions faster.
