Biomass online moisture measurement instrument is a moisture measurement system using high-frequency capacitance technology, designed for real-time moisture monitoring of particles, powders, or sheet materials in industrial production processes. This device detects changes in the dielectric constant of materials through high-frequency capacitive sensors, accurately calculates moisture content, and is suitable for high-precision moisture control requirements in industries such as food, chemical, building materials, agriculture, and pharmaceuticals. The program responds quickly and accurately, enabling the production process to achieve media visualization and process automation.

Biomass online moisture meterIt is based on the principle of high-frequency capacitance, measuring the relative dielectric constant of bulk materials in front of the window. Simply put, every substance has its own dielectric constantThe relative dielectric constant of water, ε r=80, is about 1-10 for most other materials. For example, the ε r value of gravel is between 3-4. This means that there is a significant measurable difference in the relative dielectric constant ε r between water (80) and the material being measured (1-10). Based on this difference, the moisture content of the relevant materials can be directly measured. Then output in the form of a standard signal (0-20mA or 0-1OVDC) with the moisture content of the material as a percentage by mass.

Sensor installation

(1) Indirect installation: If the wall thickness reaches 10mm or more, or if the wall surface is curved, it is necessary to install indirectly. In this case, use welded flanges.

(2) Installed on the measuring window or isolation layer: In some applications where direct contact between the sensor and the product surface is not suitable, a resin glass, glass, or similar neutral isolation layer can be placed between the sensor and the product. Metal isolation layer cannot be used, and the maximum thickness of the isolation layer material is 30mm.
