12 square power sliding contact lineWith the continuous increase of wind turbine capacity, the current level transmitted by the power cable of the wind turbine tower is getting larger, and the diameter and quantity of the cable are also increasing. Factors such as current load estimation in design, current situation in actual operation, and cost pressure caused by copper price rise are all of great concern to the whole machine design manufacturers. The difficulty of cable laying is also receiving widespread attention from engineering and academia. However, the laying of busbar is relatively simple and has become a good choice for many whole machine manufacturers.
It is a power transmission system composed of metal plates (steel plates or aluminum plates) as protective shells, conductive bars, insulation materials, tap units, and related accessories, abbreviated as busbar. The earliest transformer to distribution cabinet used in high-rise buildings, industrial plants, airports, docks, comprehensive buildings and other projects, as well as the power transmission from distribution cabinets to workshops and floors.
It is mainly divided into commonly used sliding contact wires such as single pole aluminum sliding contact wire, single pole copper sliding contact wire, steel sliding contact wire, multi pole tube sliding contact wire, seamless sliding contact wire, copper contact wire, etc. Single pole sliding contact line, multi pole tube sliding contact line, seamless sliding contact line belong to safety sliding contact line, and steel sliding contact line belong to non safety sliding contact line.
Mobile devices need to constantly change positions due to their mobility, and at each different location, they must be able to obtain power at any time, otherwise they cannot continue to move. At this point, the sliding contact line emerged. Several conductors are laid in parallel along the operating track of the mobile device and connected to the power supply. Install a current collector on the mobile device that can draw electricity from the conductor. In this way, when the device moves, the collector runs synchronously with the device and obtains power from the conductor at any time to provide power to the device, so that the device can continue to move. The device composed of these conductors and current collectors is called a sliding contact wire.
This product consists of three main parts: flat cable, four-wheel trolley for carrying cables, and guide roller. Flat cables are made of non combustible materials and can be used both indoors and outdoors, as well as in places that come into contact with oil stains. They have certain weather resistance and advantages such as smaller bending radius and longer lifespan compared to round cables.
The rolling track adopts cold-rolled steel plate for one-time cold drawing to ensure the accuracy of the track section size, replacing the unsafe, heavy, indoor sliding line dust accumulation, and outdoor icing causing short lines and affecting use disadvantages of angle steel and other conductive methods. It has more domestic characteristics. The track unit length of 4-6m adopts coupler connectors, which can be extended to any length according to needs.
12 square power sliding contact lineThe working principle of this product is shown in the engineering application diagram (1). The starting end of the flat cable (connected to the on-site junction box) is fixed to the starting end holder of the guide roller, and then fixed to the four-wheel trolley carrying the cable at appropriate intervals (1-2.5mm) according to the allowable operating space on site. The end of the cable (connected to the power supply) is fixed to the last trolley (tractor). By using the spring on the trolley to move back and forth, and by dragging the cable (if the length exceeds 20m, the original traction rope should be considered to protect the cable from tension), all the trolleys are driven to slide freely at any speed in the rolling track. The guide rail is easy to install, does not require debugging, and has no contact point for power supply, making it safe and reliable.
Product Features
1. Sliding contact wire safety: The power supply safety sliding contact wire housing is made of high insulation performance engineering plastic. The protection level of the shell can reach IP13.IP55 as needed, which can protect against rain, snow, frost, freezing attacks, and foreign object contact. The sliding contact line has experienced various environmental conditions. Good insulation performance, no harm to maintenance personnel touching the outside of the transmission conduit.
2. Reliable sliding contact line: The transmission guide rail has good conductivity, fast heat dissipation, high allowable current density, low impedance value, and small line loss. Electric brushes are made of metal copper and carbon alloy materials with high conductivity and wear resistance. The conductor is flexible in movement and has good directional performance, effectively controlling contact arc and series arc phenomena.
3. Sliding contact line economy: The power supply safety sliding contact line device has a simple structure, high allowable current density, low resistivity, low voltage loss, and can save about 10% of electricity. It realizes the use of plastic instead of steel and copper, with a novel design that does not require other insulation structures or compensation lines. It is installed on the same side of the crane control room. Sliding contact lines save installation materials and costs.
4. Convenient sliding contact line: The power supply safety sliding contact line device integrates multiple pole busbars into one conduit, making assembly simple. The fixed bracket, connecting clip, and suspension device of the sliding contact line are all supplied as universal parts. Assembly, disassembly, adjustment, and maintenance are also very convenient.

Maintenance and upkeep:
In order to ensure the normal operation of the sliding contact line and extend its service life, regular maintenance should be carried out after the sliding contact line is put into operation.
1. Electric brush: It should be checked every 1-3 months according to the usage of mobile electrical equipment. Focus on checking the wear of the collector brush. If the wear amount is ≥ 5mm, it must be replaced. If loose or worn electric brushes are found during inspection, the cause should be identified and dealt with in a timely manner.
2. Collector: Check at least once every quarter. Focus on checking whether the fasteners are loose, displaced, and whether the plastic and moving parts are worn. Check the spring tension (the contact pressure between the collector brush and the guide rail should be maintained at a certain pressure (see the table below). Discover problems and handle them promptly.
3. Connectors: Check at least once a year. Focus on checking whether the fastening bolts, welds, and supporting components are loose, corroded, or displaced. If any problems are found, they should be dealt with in a timely manner.
4. Daily inspection: Focus on checking the flatness of the track for any significant deviation (greater than 20mm), misalignment, insulation protection components for detachment, breakage, or damage, and stainless steel "v" grooves for any warping; Are there any foreign objects or conductive dust on the track. If necessary, the insulation resistance should be checked to ensure it meets the requirements (phase to phase insulation resistance should be ≥ 5M Ω).
Especially for environments with significant deviations in track alignment, gauge, inclination, frequent use, excessive workshop dust, high temperature, water, acid, alkali, fog, and outdoor use, it is necessary to strengthen daily inspection and maintenance.
