(COOH) 3-4ARM-PEG-Maleimide is an asymmetric multifunctional polyethylene glycol material with a four arm PEG skeleton, carboxyl groups that can form amide bonds with amino groups on three arms, and maleimide that can specifically add to thiol groups on one arm.
Application in drug delivery
1. Constructing multifunctional nanocarriers
The three armed carboxyl group can pass throughEDC/NHS forms amide bonds with amino groups on drugs or ligands, allowing the carrier to graft hydrophobic groups, hydrophilic layers, or targeted molecules, thereby self-assembling into stable nanoparticles or micelles, achieving improved drug loading efficiency and blood circulation stability.
