Chemical reactions and functions of various functional groups

Acrylic ester end:These seven ACA groups are photosensitive polymerization groups. Under the irradiation of ultraviolet light or visible light (usually photoinitiator is required), they will undergo rapid free radical polymerization, cross link with each other, and form a solid and high water content three-dimensional network structure, namely hydrogel. This process is fast, mild in conditions, and suitable for encapsulating cells.

Biotin end:This single biotin molecule is a high affinity capture handle. It can undergo almost irreversible and specific binding with streptavidin or avidin. This binding effect is known as the "biotin avidin system".
