    Ammonia catalytic cracking: using Agilent 990 micro gas chromatography system for reaction monitoring

    This study analyzed NH3, H2, N2, and H2O over a wide concentration range using an Agilent 990 micro gas chromatography system equipped with Agilent CP Mosieve and Agilent CP Volamine channels. It is worth noting that this analysis can be completed within one minute. We evaluated the performance of the method, including reproducibility, linearity, detection limit (LOD), and residue, and the results met the requirements.

    Accurately characterizing the average molecular weight of polyether polyols using GPC technology

    In this paper, Agilent 1260 MDS multi detector system and Agilent 1260 Infinity III gel permeation chromatograph were used to analyze commercial polyether polyol samples. From the perspective of polymer conformation and hydrodynamic volume, the calculation of average molecular weight of polyether polyols using polyethylene glycol (PEG) narrow distribution relative calibration and the limitations of this method were discussed.

    6495D LC-MS/MS combined with automated SPE workstation for quantitative biological analysis of oligonucleotides

    This study investigated Mipomersen [1] (trade name: Kynamro) in pig plasma; )Taking quantitative analysis as an example, the excellent performance of the 6495D LC-MS/MS system in high sensitivity, low detection limit, and resistance to matrix interference was demonstrated, as well as the advantages of automated SPE workstations in reducing manual intervention time, improving operational consistency, and reliability. The results indicate that this integrated automated solution can replace manual operations in high-throughput oligonucleotide bioanalysis and provide excellent sensitivity, accuracy, and reproducibility.

    Determination of 30 PFAS pollutants in food by HPLC-MS/MS

    This application brief introduces the methods of using Agilent Captiva EMR PFAS Food and Bond Elut PFAS Wax for sample purification, and combining Agilent 6495D triple quadrupole liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) to determine 30 PFAS pollutants in rice, spinach, and fish. This method is quantified using the internal standard method, and the recovery results show that both sample purification methods can achieve good accuracy and precision.

    Analysis of 65 volatile organic compounds in ambient air by tank sampling using Agilent GC/MSD

    Rapid liquid chromatography analysis of five chlorophenols in beer

    This article establishes a rapid analysis method for five chlorophenols in beer. This method uses Agilent 1290 II UHPLC system and Poroshell 120 Bonus RP chromatographic column to rapidly separate five chlorophenols. The results showed that the standard samples of various chlorophenols met the requirements of liquid chromatography separation and quantitative analysis in terms of peak shape, separation degree, sensitivity, and other indicators; At the same time, the chromatographic peaks of various chlorophenols in beer samples are not affected by other components.

    Analysis of PFAS compounds using Agilent InfinityLab Pro iQ Plus mass spectrometer detector

    This application brief introduces the method of analyzing 26 perfluorinated and polyfluoroalkyl compound (PFAS) standards using the Agilent InfinityLab Pro iQ Plus LC/MS system equipped with Agilent OpenLab CDS 2.8 software. The research results indicate that this method has good linearity, with R2 ≥ 0.99 for all analytes and a sensitivity of up to 0.1; ng/mL, Relative standard deviation (RSD) under limit of quantification (LOQ)<; 10%.

    Determination of impurity elements in neodymium iron boron using Agilent 5800 FACT technology

    This article introduces a method for accurately determining rare earth impurity elements in neodymium iron boron using Agilent 5800 ICP-OES combined with Fast Automatic Curve Fitting (FACT) technology. This method utilizes FACT to effectively remove spectral line interference between rare earth elements; The correlation coefficients of all element calibration curves after model correction are higher than 0.999, and the spiked recovery rates of 13 rare earth impurity elements are between 90.4% and 111.3%.
