Not only can it protect pressure vessel pipelines, but also low-pressure and atmospheric pressure vessels, so it is widely used.

The main component of the bursting disc is a very thin metal film with a relatively simple structure. It is installed in the flange of the outlet short pipe of the container placed in the clamp, and there are also cases where the bursting disc is directly placed in the connecting flange together with the sealing gasket. During normal operation of the container, although the bursting disc may undergo significant deformation, it can remain tight and leak proof. When the pressure of the container reaches a certain value, the diaphragm breaks to discharge the medium, avoiding danger to the container due to excessive pressure.

Advantages: Good sealing performance, no leakage during normal container operation; The rupture speed of the bursting disc is high, so the pressure relief reaction is fast; If the medium contains impurities such as oil stains, it will not affect the operating pressure of the device components.

Disadvantage: After completing the pressure relief action, the blasting element cannot continue to be used, and once the container is depressurized, it must be forced to stop running; Explosive components are subjected to high stress for a long time and are prone to premature failure due to fatigue, resulting in a short lifespan and requiring regular replacement. In addition, it is difficult to accurately predict and strictly control the operating pressure of the bursting disc components.
