Xiberui Brake USB3-I-800Non asbestos friction materials have made great progress. At present, non asbestos friction materials mainly include the following types: semi metal friction materials, whose material formula usually contains 30%~45% ferrous metals (such as steel fiber reduced iron powder foam iron, etc.). It is one of the earliest non asbestos friction materials developed to replace asbestos. Its characteristics are good heat resistance, high area power absorption, and high thermal conductivity, which can meet the braking requirements of vehicles and mechanical equipment during high-speed heavy load operation. However, it has disadvantages such as high braking noise and brittle corners.
Powder metallurgy friction materials, also known as sintered friction materials, are made by mixing and pressing powdered metal materials such as iron-based and copper based materials, and sintering them at high temperatures. Suitable for braking and transmission conditions at higher temperatures, such as aircraft, heavy-duty vehicles, and heavy engineering machinery, the Xiberui brake and transmission can also be made into wet brake friction plates that work in oil media. Powder metallurgy friction materials have a long service life, but these products are expensive, have high dynamic noise and brittleness, and high dual wear, so their use is limited to some extent.

Carbon fiber has the advantages of high modulus, good thermal conductivity, and strong heat resistance, making it one of the better performing friction materials among various types. Some high-end cars abroad also use carbon fiber friction materials for their brake pads. However, due to the high price of carbon fiber friction materials, their application scope is limited and production is also limited. In addition to carbon fiber, graphite carbon compounds are also used in the components of carbon fiber friction materials, and the organic binders in the components also undergo carbonization treatment. Therefore, carbon fiber friction materials are also known as carbon carbon (C-C) friction materials.
Ceramic fiber friction material is a type of friction material made with ceramic fibers as reinforcing materials. Ceramic fibers are processed from ceramic materials such as quartz sand through processes such as high-temperature melting, spinning, deep processing to remove impurities, and cutting. Their main components are silicon dioxide and aluminum oxide. Because of its high temperature resistance, chemical corrosion resistance and other excellent properties, the friction materials made of it have good anti-aging, low wear and high-temperature stable friction properties.
