Overview
The MonTech ABR 3000 DIN abrasion tester complies with DIN 53516, DIN ISO 4649, AS1683.21, and ASTM D 5963. The test sample is fixed in a fixture that can quickly clamp the sample, and a certain load is applied to rub against sandpaper installed on a 150mm stainless steel drum, and guided accurately. The sample can choose to rotate on its own or not, with a preset distance of 20 or 40 meters. The drum can rotate at a speed of 40 revolutions per minute. Finally, the friction loss is calculated by comparing the sample quality before and after the experiment.

MonTech ABR 3000 DIN Wear TesterCompliant with DIN 53516, DIN ISO 4649, AS1683.21, and ASTM D 5963. The test sample is fixed in a fixture that can quickly clamp the sample, and a certain load is applied to rub against sandpaper installed on a 150mm stainless steel drum, and guided accurately. Finally, the friction loss is calculated by comparing the sample quality before and after the experiment.

MonTech ABR 3000 DIN Wear TesterIt can quickly determine the wear loss and wear resistance index of elastic materials.

The international standards DIN 53516, ISO/DIN 4649, AS1683.21, and ASTM D 5963 tests are rapid evaluations of materials that are prone to wear and tear.

For example, tires, conveyor belts, tracks, and shoe soles.

◆ Hard aluminum frame, brushless drive system, sample holder, wear-resistant roller, metal shell.

*Translucent protective cover and safety switch.

*The comprehensive self weight of the gripper is 2.5N.

*According to the experimental requirements, 2.5N and 5N load weights can be added.

Test steps:

1. Before preparing for testing, calibrate the abrasiveness of the sandpaper. Prepare cylindrical samples. The ambient temperature is 23 ± 5 ℃, and a high-temperature drum can be optionally equipped for high-temperature testing.

2. Measure the weight of the sample.

3. Load the sample into the bracket, set the required wear distance, and place the load weight and semi transparent protective cover properly.

4. Click the start button to start the test. The conversion begins to rotate, and the sample will spin on the sandpaper and move to the right.

When the sample is moved to the set position, the experiment will automatically stop.

After the experiment is completed, remove the sample and weigh the remaining sample weight.

7. Calculate wear amount: The mass loss (average value of 3-10 single values) can be converted into volume loss using density, and the deviation between the abrasive wear and the set value of abrasion can be corrected using the formula: volume wear amount A=weight loss x 200mg/specific gravity x standard adhesive wear mass.

*The sample needs to be left for at least 24 hours, and after each test, the debris on the sandpaper needs to be cleaned with a brush.
