This is especially true in situations where high-pressure fans transport toxic, harmful, flammable, explosive, or valuable gases. If the sealing is not good, not only will a large amount of valuable gases be leaked, but more seriously, it will cause serious environmental pollution.
1. Maze seal
Maze seal, also known as pull ring seal or comb tooth seal, is widely used in fan products. The inter stage seal in fan products basically adopts maze seal, and the fan shaft end seal for conveying air also adopts maze seal under low pressure.
2. Floating ring seal
Floating ring sealing is the use of a pressure oil film formed between the main shaft of a high-pressure fan and the floating ring, which balances the combined pressure of the oil film with the external load (pressure of the working medium) to seal the axial leakage of the working medium. Due to the advantage of automatic centering of the floating ring seal, the sealing gap can be smaller, the leakage can be reduced accordingly, and the pressure of the sealing body can be adjusted according to the pressure of the sealed medium. The liquid friction state is maintained between the floating ring and the shaft, thereby avoiding mechanical wear.
This type of seal is used when the pressure is high or when transporting corrosive gases, ensuring that the transported gas does not leak outward.
3. Mechanical seal
Mechanical end face seal is a sealing device that achieves axial rotation by preloading the static and dynamic ring end face friction pairs with elastic elements and compressing the medium pressure and elastic element pressure. Mechanical seals generally use sealing fluid (turbine oil) with a pressure 2.5 to 3.5 higher than the sealed medium to seal the sealed medium. During the rotation process, an oil film is established on the friction surface, and the pressure of the oil film is from the outside to the inside, from high to low, and then reaches equilibrium with the sealed medium. Due to the fact that the sealing fluid pressure is always greater than the sealed medium, the sealed medium generally does not leak, while there is a small amount of leakage of the sealing fluid inward. The leaked sealing fluid will be recycled through the oil return hole. Due to structural changes, mechanical seals have significantly reduced oil consumption compared to floating ring seals, but both belong to oil film seals.
4. Dry gas seal
Dry gas seal is a gas film seal, which is currently a good sealing form for turbo compressors and has good sealing effect. It uses nitrogen or other harmless gases as a sealing medium. The requirement for the cleanliness of the sealing gas is high, and there is a relatively complex gas supply system.

When the high-pressure fan is running, the current consumed by the motor will increase with the increase of pressure and vacuum degree. If the current is too high, it will cause the contactor to trip. To prevent tripping or save electricity, please increase the cross-sectional area of the air outlet as much as possible, or install a wind pressure and air volume regulating valve on the suction or exhaust side.
A、 For air supply - appropriate filters should be installed at the inlet
1. The total cross-sectional area of the air outlet should be greater than half of the cross-sectional area of the fan outlet.
2. If used for air delivery in water, the water depth pressure should be below 70% of the high static pressure value indicated on the model catalog.
3. It is normal for the outlet temperature to be higher than room temperature by 10 degrees Celsius due to air friction during pressurized air delivery, so an iron pipe of at least 1M should be used.
B、 For suction - a silencer can be installed at the outlet
The total cross-sectional area of the suction hole should be greater than half of the inlet cross-sectional area of the blower.
C、 Simple cleaning method for filters:
Unscrew the self adapter of the filter and use an air spray gun or brush to remove dirt or dust from the filter screen. After cleaning, turn it back to use.
Instructions and Conditions for Use and Installation:
Before installation, it is necessary to familiarize oneself with the various technical requirements in the manual, check whether the accompanying accessories are complete, and whether various technical documents are complete.
2. Conduct a preliminary inspection of the blower to ensure that there are no inorganic parts damaged during logistics transportation or long-term storage, whether there are any debris falling into the fan flow channel, and whether there is corrosion. Then use tools to rotate the fan spindle or the fan motor tail fan blades to see if the rotation is flexible and if there is any rubbing noise. Otherwise, the fault should be eliminated first.
3. According to the foundation diagram, the anchor bolts should be properly positioned. When installing the fan, the horizontal plane should be corrected to prevent excessive tilting.
4. The diameter of the pipeline should be slightly larger than the fan outlet diameter (the ratio of pipeline diameter to fan outlet diameter is 1.1:1), and the length of the pipeline should be shortened as much as possible. Elbows should be used sparingly, and the angle of the elbow should be greater than 90 degrees. It is not allowed to use right angle T-shaped joints. The joints of the pipeline should be tightly sealed and not leak, in order to reduce pressure loss. The weight of the pipeline shall not be supported by the fan, nor shall the fan be forcibly connected to the pipeline to prevent increased vibration and noise.
5. According to the characteristics of the blower, regulating valves can be installed at the inlet or outlet of the blower. Adjustment of air volume and pressure.
To protect the fan motor, a current overload protection device should be installed.
7. Close the air inlet of the fan, try starting the fan, and check if the main shaft rotation of the fan is correct. Then restart the fan and gradually open the regulating damper to the desired operating point after normal operation. However, the motor current should not exceed the rated value. If the desired operating point happens to be the fan's surge point, the operating point should be adjusted appropriately to avoid the surge point or other anti surge measures should be taken.
