The material filled in the high-pressure cylinder of the ultra-high pressure micro jet homogenizer is driven back and forth by a plunger rod with constant force at a high pressure (up to 300Mpa) through a diamond chamber with a very small aperture, forming a supersonic micro jet. The material particles are crushed by the strong shear and impact effects between the high-speed jets, which can significantly improve the emulsification, solubility, stability, transparency and other characteristics of the material. The particle size is refined and the distribution is narrowed, meeting the homogenization needs of industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, cosmetics, food and graphene.
The core component of the ultra-high pressure microjet homogenizer, the microjet diamond interactive chamber, is a fixed Y-shaped or Z-shaped microchannel with an internal structure. The pore size ranges from 50um to several hundred micrometers and is made of diamond material.
During operation, the sample is pressurized by the power part and accelerated through the front channel of the diamond interaction chamber. The jet velocity can reach 500m/s at the diamond microchannel. When the high-speed jet passes through the diamond microchannel, it undergoes high-frequency shear, impact, material particle collision, and enormous pressure, ultimately resulting in uniform refinement of the material particle size.
The regulation of homogenization pressure is achieved by adjusting the motor frequency to control the flow rate. In a fixed gap channel, the higher the flow velocity and pressure, the stronger the shear and collision forces, and the better the homogenization effect.
