Applicable standards:

The UL1581 combustion test chamber meets the requirements of UL1581-2006 Section 1060 (vertical combustion and FT1 test), Section 1061 (cable combustion test), Section 1080 (VW-1 combustion test), Section 1090 (electrical wire horizontal specimen combustion test), and Section 1100 (horizontal specimen/FT2 combustion test).

Test box:

1. The UL1581 combustion test chamber adopts an aluminum alloy frame and electrostatic spraying, which has the characteristics of beautiful appearance, rust and corrosion prevention;
2. The top of the box is equipped with a strong ventilation and smoke exhaust system. When the test is completed, it opens simultaneously with the air supply system, which can timely discharge the exhaust gas to the outside; During the experiment, this system was in a closed state;
3. There is a supply air door on the side of the box. At the completion of the experiment, when the exhaust system is opened, air is supplied to the box. During the experiment, this air door needs to be closed. It takes about 2 minutes to completely exhaust the exhaust gas;
4. The front of the box is equipped with a sealed tempered glass observation window, which facilitates the observation of the test process and the operation of the experimenter;
5. Test box specifications: L220 * D130 * H165 (cm), volume: 4.8m³.

Temperature system measurement:

1. Temperature measuring copper block: electrolytic copper with extremely high thermal conductivity, with a length of 19.14 ± 0.02mm, a diameter of 9mm, and a weight of 10g ± 0.05g before drilling. Quantity: 2 pieces. One is a 0.5mm thermocouple embedded in the copper block, and the other is a spare part used as a reference for inspection;
2. K-type thermocouple, with a stainless steel sheath with a diameter of 0.5mm imported from the UK, capable of measuring temperatures up to 1300 ℃;
3. Flame height gauge: During temperature calibration, quickly locate the temperature measuring copper block at a distance of 55mm from the spray lamp, made of brass material;
4. This device complies with the requirements of ASTM D5207-2003 standard specification.

Experimental apparatus and fixtures:
1. Test bracket: Made of stainless steel, the horizontal bracket and vertical bracket are independent of each other. The vertical bracket can be used for vertical combustion and FT1 test, cable combustion test, VW-1 combustion test, horizontal specimen/FT2 combustion test, while the horizontal bracket is only used for electrical wire horizontal specimen combustion test;
2. 500W Combustion Spray Lamp: The original HUMBOLDT MFG.CO spray lamp from the United States meets the requirements of ASTM D5025-2005 and is used in conjunction with a vertical combustion bracket. The burner burns methane with a purity of over 98% and can produce a standard flame with an inner flame height of 40 ± 2mm, an outer flame height of 125 ± 10mm, and a nominal power of 500W.
3. A flame height ruler that can detect whether the flame height meets the standard at any time;
4. One position gauge for the spray gun can quickly locate the distance between the spray gun and the sample, and correctly approach the sample. The material is brass, with a height of 40mm;
Gas and test consumables:
1. Gas and gas cylinders: Methane gas with a purity of over 98% and a nominal calorific value of 1000Btu/cubic foot or 37.1MJ/m³Or 8.9 kcal/m³(User provided).
2. Consumables: 305mm * 355mm medical defatted cotton with a diameter of 150-200mm and a thickness of less than 6mm, with a width of 10mm, a length of 20mm, a density of 60lb or 94g/m, and a protruding part of 20mm after the adhesive passes around the sample once²Several pieces of kraft paper (to be provided by the user).
