The instrument uses a laser beam to irradiate the sample and an infrared detector to measure the increase in temperature on the back of the sample, in order to calculate the thermal diffusion coefficient of the sample. It has the characteristics of being fast and convenient, and can measure the specific heat of the sample to further calculate the thermal conductivity. It is widely used in the testing of metals and alloys, diamonds, ceramics, graphite and carbon fibers, filled plastics, polymer materials, etc. It can also be used to test the thermal conductivity of liquids, thin films, solid electrical insulation materials, granular materials, powder materials, coal, in accordance with GJB 1201.1-91, ASTMD 1461 solid materials, thermal conductive resins, thermal conductive glass fibers, etc.
The DRX-II-JG series laser thermal conductivity tester developed by our company is a precision measuring instrument for thermal diffusivity, thermal conductivity, and specific heat that adopts modular design. It can simultaneously measure 3-6 samples and can be adjusted from -1252800 ℃ by changing the furnace body. Multiple different sample racks can be selected, suitable for solids, liquids, melts, and slag. The compact design separates hardware and electronic components, making it suitable for nuclear applications when installed in a casing. According to different application environments, there are multiple types of machine shell designs available for users to choose from.
Thermal conductivity tester laser flash methodMeasurement principle:
Place the sample in the furnace automatic sampler and heat the furnace to the programmed temperature. At this temperature, the bottom of the sample is irradiated with an energy pulse (xenon lamp), which generates a uniform temperature rise process at the top of the sample. The thermal diffusion coefficient can be calculated based on the relationship between temperature rise and time by measuring the temperature rise on the surface of the sample using a high-speed infrared detector.
