Overview

The soil micro penetrometer developed by Shanghai Tengba reflects the mechanical and physical properties of soil by measuring its cone penetration resistance and cone index. It can also be used to characterize tillage resistance and the depth of the soil tillage layer.

Product Details

Compaction of soil, compared to its natural state, can affect the normal growth of crops. However, compaction has a positive impact on crops. For example, when the soil is cultivated, it becomes more loose, making it easier for air to enter. On the contrary, the moisture in the soil is more likely to evaporate, which is not conducive to crop growth. Proper compaction can improve the overly loose state of the soil. However, excessive compaction makes it difficult for both water infiltration and root growth. By studying the soil penetration resistance, it is possible to more scientifically assess the physical condition of the soil, guide scientific cultivation, save cultivation costs, and increase crop yields.

Micro penetrometer, as a testing instrument that uses probe resistance to test the internal structural state of materials, has been widely used in research and testing activities in different disciplines. It is one of the key testing methods in soil mechanics and building science, earth and planetary science, agricultural soil science, and other research fields.

1Soil micro penetrometerIntroduction

Cone penetration resistanceThe resistance in the vertical direction caused by the combined forces of friction, compression, etc. of the material when the conical probe enters the material.

Cone indexA general indicator for describing soil compaction degree, which refers to the instantaneous soil penetration resistance per unit area when a cone or plunger is inserted into the soil at a constant rate.

IISoil micro penetrometerPerformance characteristics

1.test metricsCone penetration resistance and cone index.

2.Measurement range of force sensing elementUse replaceable load sensing components, available in 0.5kg, 1kg, 5kg, 10kg, 20kg, and 30kg load sensing components.

3. Accuracy of force sensing elementThird party standard weights can be used for metrological verification and calibration, in compliance with ISO 7500 Part 1 or ASTM E4 standards.

4. External softwareSwitch between Chinese and English at any time. During the testing process, the software comes with a real-time display box, and the detection process data can be displayed in real time. Users can directly observe changes in the detection map.

5. Test results:Software automatically calculates cone penetration resistance and cone indexThe test results can be exported in bulk in Excel format, which is convenient and fast. The raw data is automatically saved in Excel format for easy later analysis. Multiple test curves can be stacked for comparative analysis, or a single test curve can be exported.

6. Instrument protection functionEmergency stop, upper and lower limit control devices, force sensing element overload protection, and data confidentiality function for detection.
