  Detection Principle
Carbon dioxide in soil is produced through the respiration of plant roots and surrounding microorganisms, as well as heterotrophic microorganisms that metabolize plant litter and soil organic matter. The carbon dioxide produced in soil CCO2S (CO2 concentration in soil) moves from the production site to CCO2S (CO2 concentration in the chamber). This depends on the moisture and temperature of the soil. The moisture and temperature of the soil need to be measured through additional sensors. The pump sends a certain volume of gas sample from the chamber to the measurement system for detection.Online Soil Gas Flux SystemThe automatic measurement system can accurately measure CO2 exchange in soil, which is very useful for investigation or long-term measurement. The daily and seasonal patterns of CO2 evolution are the result of changes in soil moisture, temperature, carbon resources, and other factors. Long term measurements can be conducted in one location for weeks or months.

Methods for measuring soil respiration
A known volume chamber is placed on soil by a robot arm and the rate of CO2 increase inside the chamber is monitored. Using this system, air is continuously sampled in a closed loop, and soil respiration rate is calculated, displayed, and recorded by instruments. The air inside the chamber is carefully mixed to ensure that the sampling is representative and does not create pressure differentials that affect the evolution of carbon dioxide on the soil surface.
Due to the inherent variability of soil, measurements are usually required at multiple locations to obtain reliable average soil CO2 flux values. To evaluate spatial variability and time measurement, it is possible to multiplex and measure up to 4 chambers (optional up to 8 chambers). Modular systems enable researchers to build their customized systems according to their requirements.
  sensor position
Soil moisture, temperature, pressure, and other auxiliary sensors are built into each chamber.
  Sensor protection level
CO2, Temperature and pressure infrared sensor (IP55)/soil moisture sensor (IP67)/auxiliary sensor interface: O2, H2S, CH4, NH3, VOC, etc. (IP55).
  Airborne data collection
The pneumatic circuit transports the sample gas from the chamber to the control unit. Data analysis is provided by user-friendly software applications. Users can quickly draw meaningful analysis charts to evaluate and manage measurements.
  Lithium battery power supply system
Each chamber system is powered by an internal rechargeable battery. Equipped with an external battery for long-term measurement.
  Mechanical cavity arm system
A professionally designed robotic arm system can reduce interference from harsh environmental conditions such as wind, snow, precipitation, natural sunlight, and soil.
