Daily usage method (step by step)

1. Basic measurement (voltage/resistance/current)

-Measure DC voltage: Insert the red probe into the "V Ω mA" port and the black probe into the "COM" port. Press the "DCV" button on the panel to select the appropriate range (if unknown, select the maximum range to prevent overload). The probe contacts two points of the tested circuit, and the screen directly reads the value.

-Measure AC voltage: Insert the probe and press the "ACV" button (True RMS automatic recognition) to adapt to daily household appliances, signal sources, and other AC signal measurements.

-Resistance measurement: Power off first! Insert the probe into "V Ω mA" and "COM", press the "Ω" button, select the range, contact the probe with both ends of the resistance, directly read the resistance value, and prioritize using the 4-wire mode to reduce errors when measuring small resistances.

-Current measurement: Power off first! Insert the red probe into the "mA" (for measuring low current) or "10A" (for measuring high current) port, while the black probe remains plugged into the "COM" port. Press the "DCI" button to connect the circuit in series and read the current value.

2. Advanced practical skills

-Relative Measurement (REL): Used for measuring circuit drift and component changes. First, press the "REL" button to set the reference value. Subsequent measurements will directly display the difference without manual calculation, simplifying debugging.

-Data recording: Long press the "Data Log" button, and the instrument will automatically store the measurement data, which can be exported via USB or LAN for easier analysis and reporting.

-Visual viewing: The color screen can display trend charts and histograms, allowing for a clear understanding of the distribution of measurement data at a glance and quick assessment of signal stability.

3. Precautions

-Before measurement, select the correct range and function to avoid overload damage; Current measurement must be in series, voltage measurement must be in parallel, and measuring resistance while live is strictly prohibited.

-Power off when not in use for a long time, regularly clean the probe interface, and maintain good contact; Calibration can be sent back to Shide Technology to ensure long-term accuracy.

-Firmware update: Save the update package to a USB drive, plug it into the USB port on the front panel, press "Shift → Utility → Test/Admin → Firmware Update", and do not turn off the power throughout the process.
