1、 Principle of Shallow Quartz Sand Filter

Shallow quartz sand filter, also known as fully automatic shallow sand filter, is composed of multiple standard high-speed sand cylinder units. It is equipped with unique water distributors and collectors, and has a unique bidirectional automatic flushing valve. It can achieve individual backwashing of multiple standard high-speed sand cylinders during normal system operation, with fully automatic program control. It has the advantages of low backwash water consumption, convenient equipment installation, and easy operation. This device has high traffic and does not require maintenance. According to different user requirements, there are two series: vertical and horizontal. Suitable for water quality treatment of industrial and civilian circulating water systems.

Shallow filters are generally composed of a filtering sand tank and a corresponding control system filled with sufficient quartz sand, also known as sand tank filters, shallow sand filters, etc. Shallow filters designed and produced for water treatment can be customized with cylinder bodies and control methods according to customer requirements, achieving unmanned and fully automatic operation.

2、 Characteristics of shallow quartz sand filter:

1. The filter can be customized and suitable for various usage environments (usually stainless steel and carbon steel lining rubber);

2. Shallow sand filters have high flux, fast flow rate, moderate filtration accuracy, and are suitable for rapid coarse filtration;

4、 Shallow sand filters are commonly used in industries

1. Filtration of industrial water - There are certain system requirements for water quality. For example, the filtration of oxygen lance water, boiler, and heat exchanger water supply in steel plants can filter out impurities in water and avoid blockages in pipeline nozzles.

2. Filtration system for industrial circulating water.

3. Raw water treatment - It can filter surface river water, lake water, seawater, reservoir water, well water, and urban tap water as water sources for urban residential areas to remove sand particles, suspended solids, algae, organic matter, etc. from the water.

Inlet turbidity:<50FTU, outlet turbidity:<5FTU.

2. Working environment parameters

① Working temperature: 5-60 ℃ (special temperature can be customized);

② Work pressure: ≤ 0.6MPa;

③ Import and export pressure difference: 0.1-0.15MPa.

3. Operating parameters

① Working mode: pressure based;

② Operation mode: water flow from top to bottom;

③ Filtration speed: 40m/h (up to 60m/h);

④ Backwash water consumption:<3m

⑤ Backwash duration: 2-3 minutes.

4. Body material: stainless steel, carbon steel lined with adhesive or coated with epoxy resin.
