1、 Principle and function of fiber ball filter for water purification equipment

Fiber ball filter for water purification equipment, as the name suggests, is a filter with fiber balls inside, which is also a pressure type mechanical filter. The porosity of fiber balls accounts for about 93% of the filter material layer. When the fiber ball filter is running, the water flows up and down. Due to the resistance of the water passing through the filter layer, the filter material forms an ideal gap structure with a tight top and bottom. It not only has a large flux, but also increases the interception ability. It effectively removes suspended solids and sediment in water, and has a significant removal effect on organic matter, colloids, iron, manganese, etc. This product is used for fine filtration of oily wastewater in oil fields. It has a large filtration flux and fiber balls are not easy to stick to oil, so it is widely used in the petrochemical industry.

2、 Product features of fiber ball filter for water purification equipment

Compared to traditional filters, there are the following advantages

1. High filtration accuracy: Fiber ball filters can achieve a removal rate of nearly 100% for suspended solids in water, and have a significant removal effect on impurities such as bacteria, viruses, macromolecules, colloids, and iron.

2. Fast filtration speed: generally 25-80m/h, equivalent to 2-3 times the flow rate of quartz sand filters, activated carbon filters, and multi-media filters. Therefore, under the same filtration flow rate, the diameter of the fiber ball filter tank is much smaller, greatly reducing equipment costs.

3. Strong interception capacity: generally 5-10kg/m³The quartz sand has a pollutant interception capacity of 1.5-2.0 Kg/m^3，It is 3-5 times more effective than traditional quartz sand filters.

4. Small footprint: Under the same filter flow rate, the footprint is less than one-third of that of traditional activated carbon and quartz sand filters.

5. Low self consumption water: only 1-2% of the periodic water production, can be backwashed with raw water mixed with a mixing motor, or can be backwashed with air-water.

6. It has strong adsorption capacity for oil stains, and compared to activated carbon filters, it has advantages such as less oil sticking, easy cleaning, large filtration area per unit, high filter flux, and low cost.
