1、 Product Introduction
Rotork IQ series actuators-Selection of valve electric actuatorsIntroduce valve actuators that can be debugged and queried without opening the electrical end caps.
By using the provided infrared setter to enter the actuator's setting program, even in hazardous areas, torque values, limits, and all other control and indication functions can be safely and quickly set. The setting and adjustment of IQ can be completed when the main power supply of the actuator is turned on or off.
The standard diagnostic function can diagnose the status of control systems, valves, and actuators, and display them through icons and help screens on the actuator display screen.
Press the button of the setter to monitor the instantaneous torque of the corresponding valve position on the display screen.
The built-in data logger can obtain operation and valve torque data, reminding users to maintain the valve as needed. IQ Insight software and/or Rotork intrinsic safety communicator running on PC can access the data logger and configure and record all functions of the actuator.
Whether the actuator is equipped with a setter can be identified by the yellow label on the terminal box cover.

IISelection of valve electric actuators
Valve electric actuator is a device that realizes valve program control, self-control, and remote control. Its motion process can be controlled by the magnitude of stroke, torque, or axial thrust. The correct selection of valve electric devices is crucial to prevent overload phenomena (working torque higher than control torque).
Usually, the basic protection methods for overload are:
1. For overload protection of continuous operation or jog operation of the motor, a thermostat is used;
2. Protection against motor stalling is achieved through the use of thermal relays;
3. For short-circuit accidents, use fuses or overcurrent relays
