Valves suitable for linear motion of opening and closing components, such as gate valves, globe valves, diaphragm valves, plunger valves, shut-off valves, water gates, etc., can be used for open stem valves or concealed stem valves. Valves can be remotely, centrally, and automatically controlled, and are widely used in industries such as power, metallurgy, petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, sewage treatment, and agricultural irrigation.

Many users have some concerns when choosing valve electric actuators and do not know what kind of valve electric device to choose. Here are eight precautions for choosing an electric actuator correctly.

1. Operating torque:

The operating torque is the most important parameter for selecting valve electric actuators, and the output torque of the electric actuator should be 1.2-1.5 times the maximum operating torque of the valve.

2. Operating thrust:

There are two main structures of the valve electric device: one is to directly output torque without installing a thrust plate; The other one is equipped with a thrust disc, and the output torque is converted into output thrust through the valve stem nut in the thrust disc.

3. Number of turns of output shaft:

The number of turns of the output shaft of the valve electric device is related to the nominal diameter of the valve, the pitch of the valve stem, and the number of threads. It should be calculated according to M=H/ZS (m is the total number of turns that the electric device should meet, H is the opening height of the valve, s is the pitch driven by the valve stem, and z is the number of thread heads of the valve stem).

4. Valve stem diameter:

For multi turn open stem valves, if the maximum allowable stem diameter of the electric device cannot pass through the stem, it cannot be assembled into an electric valve. Therefore, the inner diameter of the hollow output shaft of the electric device must be greater than the outer diameter of the valve stem of the open valve stem. For some rotary valves and hidden stem valves in multi turn valves, the valve stem diameter and keyway size should be fully considered when matching, so that they can work normally after assembly.

5. Output speed:

If the opening and closing speed of the valve is too fast, it is easy to cause water hammer phenomenon. Therefore, appropriate opening and closing speeds should be selected according to different usage conditions.

6. Motor:

After determining the specifications, determine the control torque. Generally running within the scheduled time, the motor will not overload

Valve electric actuators are divided into switch type and regulating type, and the signals of regulating type actuators are also divided into current signals and voltage information numbers.
