2、 Testing principle

This device follows the classic mechanical testing principle of "arch collapse method". Firstly, bend the rectangular rubber film or flexible material sample of the specified size into a standard arch shape in a dedicated fixture. Subsequently, the testing machine drives a pressure head of a specific width and applies a load vertically downwards at a constant speed to the top center of the arched specimen. As the load increases, the arched specimen gradually becomes flattened and deformed. The instrument continuously collects the load values during this process at high frequency and records the maximum load borne by the sample at the moment when it loses its arch structure and collapses.
