Overview

The RRDE-6A rotating disk electrode is widely used in modern electroanalytical chemistry, electrode processes, and homogeneous chemical reaction research. When the rotating disk electrode rotates itself, it can cause the solution to undergo regular motion (i.e. laminar motion) on the electrode surface, and the thickness of the diffusion layer on the electrode surface varies with the speed of rotation. Therefore, the convection diffusion equation can be accurately decomposed, which is a rare special case in electrode reaction kinetics.

The instrument is connected by an upper motor and a motor drive, and the transmission between the motor and the spindle is achieved through a universal joint. The electrode head is installed at the lower end of the spindle, and a threaded connection is used to accommodate multiple electrodes. The spring pin on the shaft maintains contact with the electrodes.
