PerkinElmer multiple quadrupole ICP-MS

The NexION 5000 is an industry-leading multi quadrupole ICP-MS consisting of four sets of quadrupole rods, which surpasses traditional triple quadrupole technology in terms of performance. Whether in background equivalent concentration or detection limit, the NexION 5000 has an order of magnitude improvement over traditional triple quadrupole rods.

Four groups of quadrupole rods:

The first group - Quadrupole Ion Deflector (Q0) is an electrostatic mass analyzer based on ion energy, which dynamically focuses and screens ions by mass, and deflects ions by 90 degrees to achieve separation from neutral components and photons, and introduces them into the next stage of quadrupole

The second group - is the first quadrupole mass analyzer (Q1, Transmission Analyzer Quadrupole), used as a mass analyzer or to guide ions to a quadrupole universal cell. It contains a long pre quadrupole rod, which can achieve better high-energy ion focusing, thus having a unit mass or better mass resolution, with an optimal resolution of<0.3 amu

The third group is the Quadrupole Universal Cell Technology (Q2), which is a pool technology composed of quadrupole rods on the market. It has dynamic bandwidth quality tuning capability (so as to effectively control the reaction) and comes standard with axial field technology (so as to use any desired gas). It can serve as both an ion channel for ion focusing acceleration and a mass selector for specific ions, suppressing the generation of side reactions in the pool and ensuring the completeness of the desired reaction, thereby eliminating interference at the bottom.

The fourth group - is the second quadrupole mass analyzer (Q3, Transmission Analyzer Quadrupole), used as a mass analyzer or to guide ions to the detector. Has a unit mass or better mass resolution, with an optimal resolution of<0.3 amu
