Cosmetics SPF Sunscreen Index Analyzer

The UV-2000S cosmetics SPF sun protection index analyzer can quickly measure the diffuse transmittance of sunscreen samples in the 250-450 nm ultraviolet band. Labsphere's Spectralon integrating sphere uses a re optimized scintillation xenon lamp as the light source to provide good sample diffuse illumination effect, thereby reducing integration time. The new diode array spectrometer, combined with advanced fiber optic components, is optimized at the system level to reduce stray light, improve wavelength stability and repeatability between each measurement.

Professional equipment and improved functionality*

The UV-2000S cosmetics SPF sun protection index analyzer adopts new optical, electronic components, and software technologies, integrated into an industry validated system architecture, to obtain accurate ex vivo SPF/UVA protection index analysis indicators for solar protection products, thereby obtaining accurate solar protection label values in development. Driven by the rapid development of the industry, UV-2000S is designed and developed according to recognized in vitro testing methods, such as COLIPA UVA-PF, Boots star Rating, FDA, and several upcoming global standards or methods, in order to simplify product labeling and quickly validate new in vitro testing methods. The launch of UV-2000S is positioned as an industry choice to replace Labsphere UV-1000S products, not only for laboratory in vitro SPF/UVA analysis, but also for basic quality control of products.

A lot of optimization work has been carried out on the UV-2000S cosmetics SPF sun protection index analyzer, including new spectrometers, scintillation xenon lamps, optical coupling fibers, optical head positioning mechanisms, sample positioning platforms, and a new and stable software development platform. The new diode array spectrometer has stable performance and uses a customized concave diffraction optical system to ensure measurement integrity and repeatability. The grating used is a master grating instead of a replicated grating, thereby maximizing performance within the wavelength range. A longer pixel array ensures better pixel wavelength resolution.

The illumination at the integrating sphere is now filtered, which can limit the total exposure of the sample and improve the stray light performance. A higher flicker frequency reduces exposure time, minimizes dark current, and increases dynamic range Zui. The use of sun resistant optical fibers can ensure stable output after a period of use. Longer fibers filter out higher-order modes to provide clean grating illumination and improve stray light performance.

Easy to operate

The built-in report function can generate key information by clicking the button. The report includes necessary information such as date, time, operator name, sample identity, and test parameters. It is easy to access these report information on a computer, and it can also be printed or output in text format for further data processing or analysis.

*Easy to use application software

The UV-2000S cosmetics SPF sunscreen index analyzer application software is based on **Architecture development, software includes modular structure and supports new user interfaces. The software includes the COLIPA method Boots Star Rating、FDA, And new industry or regional methods can be expanded when necessary. The software can facilitate data collection, archiving, retrieval, and report output, and can also record the impact of substrate roughness on UVA-PF.

The UV-2000S application software includes an integrated performance validation process that allows for online validation and revalidation to ensure instrument performance. A set of calibration standards includes a wavelength standard that can capture 6 spectral bands, and each UV transmittance analyzer includes a set of this standard.
