PID gas detector DraegerXpid volatile organic compounds
Two modes for effective measurement
The "inspection" mode is a broad-spectrum measurement method used for pre detection and positioning of measurement points. It can continuously and directly read the total concentration measurement values of all volatile organic compounds. The "inspection" mode is similar to using a single PID gas measuring device.
The 'analysis' mode allows for selective measurement to monitor specific toxic compounds. In just a few seconds, the pre selected target compound can be accurately measured. The 'analysis' mode is similar to gas chromatography analysis performed in a laboratory.
Can save up to 90% of time
Dr ä ger X-pid 9000/9500 does not require preparation and can be used immediately after quick startup. The selective measurement in the "analysis" mode can be completed in just a few seconds. To perform benzene measurement, simply press the button and it will take 30 seconds to complete. After a 60 second interval, the device can measure benzene again. Compared to other detection systems, Dr ä ger X-pid 9000/9500 can save a lot of time and enable further monitoring. Simultaneously measuring other compounds such as benzene and butadiene further reduces detection time.
cost savings
Since the measurement does not require the use of consumables, it can reduce operating costs. For users with high measurement needs, Dr ä ger X-pid 9000/9500 can quickly recoup costs. For example, it does not require a pre detection tube, which makes it more convenient to use and prevents user errors. Based on 200 measurements per year, the Dr ä ger X-pid 9000/9500 is typically more cost-effective than similar measurement systems.
High selectivity, safer
The selective measurement "analysis" mode relies on the technique of separating individual compounds in a mixed gas. This makes it possible to perform specific compound measurements for benzene, even in the presence of high concentrations of other volatile organic compounds such as toluene and xylene. The cross sensitivity of benzene can be reduced to a low level. This can reduce false positive measurement results and false alarms.
Can maintain reliable performance even in harsh environments
The impact of various environmental factors (such as fluctuating ambient temperature or high humidity) on measurement results can be minimized. The sensor unit maintains a constant temperature above the ambient temperature and then separates the target compound from the mixed vapor. This ensures reliable measurement values can be obtained even under harsh environmental conditions.
Low detection limit
The concentration of toxic compounds in the air of the workplace shall not exceed the threshold limit. For carcinogenic vapors such as benzene, their time weighted average must be calculated within the low concentration range of ppb to ppm. The Dr ä ger X-pid 9000/9500 has been optimized to measure within this concentration range and can detect benzene at concentrations above 50ppb.
Intuitive operation through mobile applications
Control sensor units and process measurement data through a mobile application installed on explosion-proof smartphones (provided upon delivery). Adopting a large touch screen and familiar user interface elements for easy use. This enables a wide range of user groups to use complex technologies. No professional background knowledge or comprehensive training is required.
Measurement results with laboratory quality
Gas measuring equipment is based on gas chromatography analysis (GC) and photoionization detection (PID) technology. These techniques are commonly used in laboratories and are highly regarded for their excellent analytical performance. Dr ä ger X-pid 9000/9500 can directly apply these technologies to hazardous areas in all production sites.
Convenient functional testing and calibration
Functional testing can be completed in just two minutes using test gases isobutene and toluene, followed by the use of Dr ä ger X-pid 9000/9500. During the testing process, the system will gradually guide users to complete the user interface operations. The calibration will be completed in approximately four minutes.
Two models to meet different needs
There are two models of this product: 9000 and 9500. The target compounds detected by Dr ä ger X-pid 9000 include benzene and butadiene. The Dr ä ger X-pid 9500 can combine over 23 target compounds into a single analytical program, thereby expanding its application range. This means that you can independently expand the target substance database for Dr ä ger X-pid 9500.
