Sichuan Yongtong Machinery is a manufacturer of oil storage tanks with qualifications for manufacturing Class I and Class II pressure vessels. Anti corrosion treatment of horizontal buried oil tanks:
Oil storage tanks are strictly treated with anti-corrosion coatings in accordance with SH 3022-1999 for equipment and pipeline coatings in the petrochemical industry. According to the customer's required anti-corrosion level, the anti-corrosion coating can be selected from petroleum asphalt or epoxy coal tar anti-corrosion paint.

4、 Welding requirements for oil storage tank body

  1. Strictly follow the drawings, plans, and welding process instructions for construction.
  2. Fully leverage the role of the quality assurance system to ensure its normal operation.
  3. Do not use welding materials without product certification and material certification.
  4. Strengthen quality education and enhance employees' awareness of quality.
  5. It is strictly prohibited for unlicensed personnel to work welding.
  6. Welding indicates that there is no spatter of welding slag.

5、 Anti corrosion measures for oil storage tanks

  • The anti-corrosion design of the outer surface of the oil storage tank should comply with the relevant provisions of the current national standard "Design Specification for Corrosion Control Engineering of Steel Pipelines and Storage Tanks", and should adopt an anti-corrosion insulation protection layer not lower than the strengthening level;
  • The anti-corrosion measures for the inner wall of the oil storage tank should be determined according to the storage medium inside the tank.

6、 Security
The storage tank is generally equipped with the following safety facilities: mechanical breather valve, hydraulic safety valve, flame arrester, measuring hole, manhole, daylighting hole, inlet and outlet oil pipes, foam generator, electrostatic grounding wire, lightning rod, ladder, railing, etc. During the use of oil tanks, these safety facilities are required to be kept in good condition.

7、 Inspection method for oil storage tanks:

  1. Penetration test: The equipment welds are inspected using the kerosene penetration method. The equipment welds are coated with chalk slurry on the outside, dried, and then coated with kerosene inside. After half an hour of inspection, if there are no kerosene leakage spots, it is considered qualified.
  2. Airtightness test: The equipment undergoes an airtightness test by slowly increasing the pressure to the specified test pressure. After reaching the test pressure, the pressure is held for 10 minutes and then reduced to the design pressure. The weld and connection parts are externally brushed with soapy water and checked for no bubbles to be qualified.
  3. Radiographic testing: Equipment welds shall be subjected to radiographic testing, with a testing length not less than 10% of the total length of the weld, and in compliance with the "Non destructive Testing of Pressure Vessels". The inspection result (JB4730-94) shall be classified as qualified at level III
