2、 Working principle

1. Modified asphalt:
Heating is carried out through the electric heater inside the thermal oil tank, and the thermal oil pump begins to circulate. The required materials are proportionally added to the asphalt mixing reactor, and the mixer is started to pre mix the materials. Then, through the pipeline type high-speed shearing emulsifier, under the high-speed drive of the motor, the stator and rotor cooperate precisely at a high relative speed, causing the materials to undergo continuous mechanical and hydraulic pressure shearing, and circulate to further refine the mixed materials. At the same time, SBS modifier, additive, etc. can be added through the bucket feeding port. Before operation, the discharge valve of the lotion tank and the inlet and outlet valves of the conduction oil must be closed, the heat exchanger valve must be closed, and the discharge valve at the lower part of the pipeline type high shear must be opened to take qualified modified asphalt samples.

2. Emulsified asphalt
Heat the oil through the electric heater in the heat transfer oil tank, and the heat transfer oil pump starts circulating work. Add the base asphalt into the asphalt mixing reactor, start the mixer to heat the asphalt evenly, close the medium pipe valve, open the front valve of the heat exchanger and the inlet and outlet valves of the heat transfer oil in the lotion tank, add latex, hydrochloric acid, water, etc. in proportion to prepare lotion, and open the anchor mixer of the lotion tank. After heating to the set temperature, close the inlet and outlet valves of the heat transfer oil, open the electric ball valve of the lotion tank, start the pipeline type high shear (all mixers must be closed before starting), observe the flow of lotion and asphalt through the flowmeter, and take qualified emulsified asphalt samples from the outlet of the heat exchanger.

3、 Installation and usage precautions for the complete set of experimental modified emulsified asphalt equipment

1. The discharge pipe and batching pipe of the asphalt mixing reaction kettle, as well as the inlet pipe of the pipeline type high shear emulsifier, should be installed horizontally. Do not operate the pipeline type high shear emulsifier without materials.

2. The pipeline type high shear emulsifier is a high-precision machine, and the motor will generate certain mechanical vibrations during use. In order to avoid interference with the pipeline system during installation and use, separate brackets should be set up at the inlet and outlet of the equipment, and the equipment itself should not be used as a support. The installation location of the equipment should be easy for patrol inspection and maintenance, and variable frequency starting should be used to reduce the impact force of the equipment and avoid damaging the parts.

3. To ensure the long-term stable operation of the mechanical seal of the equipment, a lubrication and cooling device is added to the system. The seal adopts a double bone surface non-equilibrium mechanical seal, and the dynamic and static rings are made of silicon carbide. The seals are all made of fluororubber or polytetrafluoroethylene. This seal only uses one set of springs, has a compact structure, and is suitable for the rotary shaft seal of pumps that are prone to crystallization, contain particles or fibers, and have corrosive media. There is a sealing liquid circulation in the sealing chamber (the sealing liquid can be oil or water), which is used to flush the lubrication and cooling friction ring. It is filled with 0.1Mpa through the filling port to ensure that the pressure in the chamber is 0.05Mpa higher than that of the sealed medium. The working temperature of the sealing chamber is -20 ℃~+120 ℃. Users can cool the sealing medium through the cooling pipe to ensure that the medium in the sealing The temperature meets the usage requirements.

After the complete set of experimental modified emulsified asphalt equipment is safely put into operation, it should be thoroughly cleaned every time it is shut down to avoid unnecessary losses. For cleaning methods, please refer to the "Equipment Use and Maintenance Regulations".

5. Adjust the base legs to the level of the unit and tighten the fixing nuts. After 3-4 hours of actual operation of the modified emulsified asphalt equipment used in the experiment, a final inspection should be conducted. If there are no adverse phenomena, it is considered safe and qualified.
