2、 Basic usage method (quick to get started)

1. Connection and recognition

When the oscilloscope is powered off, insert the probe TekVPI interface into the corresponding channel (such as CH1); After turning on, the instrument automatically recognizes the probe, and the screen unit is displayed as "A" (ampere), without the need to manually set the ratio.

2. Range selection

Press the Range button on the probe or oscilloscope: select 5A for low current (≤ 5A) and 30A for high current (≤ 30A); Do not exceed the range to avoid probe damage.

3. Calibration (demagnetization+zeroing)

Before measurement, demagnetize (eliminate residual magnetism in the iron core) and then automatically reset (eliminate zero offset); Operation: Press the "Degauss/Zero" button on the probe and wait for the indicator light to complete calibration to ensure accurate measurement.

4. Measurement operation

Open the probe clamp, clamp only a single wire (current direction consistent with the probe identification), and close the clamp; By adjusting the time base and vertical scale of the oscilloscope, the current waveform, ripple, and transient changes can be clearly viewed.

5. Safety precautions

The continuous current should not exceed 30A, and the peak value should not exceed 50A; for high-voltage measurement, the power should be cut off first, and it is strictly prohibited to exceed 150V for bare wires and 300V for insulated wires to prevent electric shock.
