Static electricity testing includes two types: contact discharge and air discharge.
Air discharge does not refer to static electricity in the air.
If you have static electricity on your hands, discharge may occur when your hands are close to (not in contact with) metal, and air discharge is considered for this situation.

1) Many organic solvents such as ethyl alcohol, acetone, ethanol, benzene, etc. are very flammable, and when used in large quantities, there should be no open flames, electric sparks, or electrostatic discharge indoors. Excessive storage of such drugs is not allowed in the laboratory, and they should be promptly recycled and disposed of after use. They should not be poured into the sewer to prevent them from accumulating and causing fires. 2) Some substances such as phosphorus, metallic sodium, potassium, calcium carbide, and metal hydrides are prone to oxidation and spontaneous combustion in the air. There are also some metals such as iron, zinc, aluminum and other powders that have a larger surface area and are prone to oxidation and spontaneous combustion in the air. These substances should be stored in isolated air and used with special care. In case of fire in the laboratory, do not panic, but extinguish the fire according to the situation. Common fire extinguishing agents include water, sand, carbon dioxide extinguisher, carbon tetrachloride extinguisher, foam extinguisher, dry powder extinguisher, etc.

You can choose to use it according to the cause of the fire. The following situations cannot be extinguished with water:

(a) When metal sodium, potassium, magnesium, aluminum powder, calcium carbide, and sodium peroxide catch fire, dry sand should be used to extinguish the fire.

(b) Flammable liquids lighter than water, such as gasoline, benzene, acetone, etc., can be ignited with foam extinguishers.

(c) When there is a fire in a place where there is burning metal or molten material, a dry sand or dry powder fire extinguisher should be used. (d) When electrical equipment or live systems catch fire, carbon dioxide fire extinguishers or carbon tetrachloride fire extinguishers can be used. (4) Prevent burns

Strong acids, strong bases, strong oxidants, bromine, phosphorus, sodium, potassium, phenol, glacial acetic acid, etc. can all corrode the skin, especially to prevent splashing into the eyes. Low temperatures such as liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen can also severely burn the skin, so be careful when using them. In case of burns, it should be done promptly.
