MBW573 Cold Mirror Dew Point Meter

Industrial cold mirror hygrometer

MBW573 Cold Mirror Dew Point Meter Product Description

Cold mirror condensation technology provides high-precision, stable, and reproducible humidity measurement. Water vapor condenses on a temperature controlled mirror surface, and this dew point is detected using advanced optical and electronic technology. Due to the fact that dew point is only related to changes in water vapor concentration rather than temperature, the accuracy of the instrument is well guaranteed throughout the entire measurement range.

The 573 dew point mirror is a high-performance 19 inch rack mounted instrument with integrated measurement probes, pressure sensors, sample air pumps, and flow meters. Suitable for various applications, including frost/dew point andContinuous and accurate monitoring of humidity values.

Is it dew or frost?

When the temperature is below 0 ° C, water will condense into a liquid or solid state (dew or frost). The temperature difference when the condensation layer is stable can reach up to 3 ° C, therefore, in order to correctly calculate or verify parameters such as relative humidity, it is necessary to know the state of the condensation. As shown in the figure on the right, there may also be dew and frost on the mirror at the same time; This leads to an unstable value at a certain position between the dew point and frost point.

ForceFrost feature

When the temperature is lower than the user set, the ForceFrost function of 573 will rapidly cool down the mirror, forcing the condensation layer into the solid phase. This eliminates the uncertainty of measuring dew point or frost point.

Input and output

For quick use, the system is equipped with an internal sample air pump, mechanical flow meter, and pressure sensor, as well as an external temperature probe. The simple and durable RS-232 interface can be used for PC connection, ensuring remote data collection. As an optional feature, users can configure two analog outputs to connect to the existing data acquisition system.

Convenient calibration check

Users can easily check the stability of the 573 system at any time using the built-in Ice Test function. This is an automatic testing program that allows users to check if there is ice melting on the mirror surface at 0 ° C, in order to verify the stability of the mirror.
