MAHLE filter cartridges are originally produced and sold by Vitelli

MAHLE has local branches in all important markets. About 49000 employees work in over 100 production bases and 8 research and development centers located in Stuttgart, Northampton, Detroit (Framington and Norway), Tokyo (Okawa and Kawagoe), and Shanghai and Sao Paulo (Jondiay). Within the scope, there are nearly 3000 R&D engineers and technicians dedicated to developing forward-looking concepts, products, and continuously evolving automotive drive systems.

The structure of Mahle filter cartridge is generally composed of filter paper and rubber adhesive, while the gel of genuine and fake Mahle filter cartridge is also different. The rubber texture of the genuine Mahle filter element is good and elastic, while the rubber of the fake Mahle filter element is soft and of poor quality. A relatively easy method to distinguish is to fold the air Mahle filter element in half. After loosening, the genuine Mahle filter element quickly returns to its original state, while the fake Mahle filter element has poor adhesion to the filter paper due to rubber texture issues, with obvious marks in the middle of the fold.
In addition, some labels can be used, such as imported ones with line patterns, and of course, some domestic ones can also be imitated, but careful observation will make a difference.
Everyone knows that the first stage used in water purifiers is the PPMahle filter element, also known as melt blown PP, made of polypropylene (PP material). Its main function is to filter various harmful impurities, organic pollutants, minerals, and other impurities with a diameter greater than 1 micron in tap water. Since it does not have a drainage function, its service life is generally 3-6 months. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly replace the Mahle filter element, otherwise it will cause secondary pollution problems and the water quality cannot be guaranteed. According to the usage range, it can be divided into 10 inches to 40 inches, and can be customized according to special requirements such as density, length, and weight. First, let's look at the density. PP can be divided into 1um and 5um based on the difference in pore size. Then, the weight is also around 100g and 110g. The pore size cannot be recognized by the naked eye, but the weight and tactile sensation can be distinguished by hand.

AHLE Mahler filtration speed
When the solid particles in the suspension are large and uniform in size, the pores of the filtered residue layer are relatively unobstructed, and the velocity of the filtrate passing through the residue layer is relatively high. The use of coagulants to aggregate fine particles into larger clusters is beneficial for improving filtration speed.
For suspensions with fast settling speed of solid particles, a filter machine with feeding material on the upper part of the filter medium is used to align the filtering direction with the direction of gravity. Coarse particles settle first, which can reduce the blockage of the filter medium and filter residue layer; Mixing coarse solid particles such as diatomaceous earth and expanded perlite into difficult to filter suspensions (such as colloids) can loosen the filter residue layer; When the viscosity of the filtrate is high, the suspension can be heated to reduce the viscosity. These measures can accelerate the filtration speed.
Working principle of MAHLE filter in Germany
When the MAHLE filter is in operation, the water to be filtered enters through the water inlet, flows through the filter screen, and enters the user's required pipeline through the outlet for process circulation. The particles and impurities in the water are trapped inside the filter screen. In such a continuous cycle, more and more particles are intercepted, and the filtration speed slows down. However, the incoming sewage still enters, and the filter holes become smaller, resulting in a pressure difference between the inlet and outlet. When the large pressure difference reaches the set value, the differential pressure transmitter sends an electrical signal to the controller, and the control system starts the driving motor to drive the shaft to rotate through the transmission component. At the same time, the sewage outlet opens and is discharged from the sewage outlet. After the filter screen is cleaned, the pressure difference drops to a small value, and the system returns to the initial filtering state, and the system runs normally. The filter consists of a housing, a multi-element filter element, a backwash mechanism, and a differential pressure controller. The transverse partition inside the shell divides its inner cavity into upper and lower chambers. The upper chamber is equipped with multiple filter cartridges, which provides ample filtering space and significantly reduces the volume of the filter. The lower chamber is equipped with a backwash suction cup. During operation, the turbid liquid enters the lower chamber of the filter through the inlet and then enters the inner cavity of the filter element through the partition hole. Impurities larger than the gap of the filter element are intercepted, and the clean liquid passes through the gap to reach the upper chamber and is sent out from the outlet.
