The freeze-drying process is a highly technical and complex heat and mass transfer process involving multiple disciplines such as refrigeration, vacuum, electronics, chemistry, and low-temperature medicine. In the pharmaceutical industry, vacuum freeze dryers play an important role in reducing the possibility of material oxidation and deterioration, eliminating bacteria in materials, ensuring that the original appearance of materials can be well preserved, and further reducing pollution risks. Construction of a small laboratory freeze dryer:
It consists of a basic unit with a vacuum pump and a small cold trap, as well as some accessories. There is a refrigeration pipeline inside the insulated cold trap cylinder, which is vacuum sealed and connected to the vacuum pump. The basic unit is equipped with vacuum and temperature instruments, as well as control switches, drain valves, and vent valves. There are two temperatures for a cold trap, which can reach around -50 ℃ for single-stage refrigeration and around -80 ℃ for cascade refrigeration.
