LAR-Nitritox Online Toxicity AnalyzerThe use of nitrifying bacteria (nitrite bacteria/nitrifying bacteria) can quickly and accurately measure the toxicity of surface water, drinking water, and sewage, thereby achieving the goal of water quality regulation and process control. Simultaneously used for monitoring the occurrence of toxic incidents and alerting.


Preparation of representative samples: Use LAR's maintenance free sampling system FlowSampler. Its working principle is based on the principle of material separation, and it performs counter current sampling at the center of the sample flow path, so representative water samples can be collected without filtration.


Measurement principle: The variable in toxicity measurement is the respiratory inhibition rate of nitrifying bacteria. Firstly, fill the water sample into the measurement chamber, then fill it with nitrifying bacteria and measure the consumption of dissolved oxygen. The low oxygen consumption rate of nitrifying bacteria (respiratory inhibition rate) indicates the presence of toxic substances in the water sample.
