The KAL-K series adopts the principle of thermal diffusion measurement and works based on the following mechanism:

  • The sensor is equipped with two temperature probes: a heating element and a temperature monitoring element

  • When the liquid flows through the sensor, it takes away the heat from the heating element, causing a temperature difference between the two probes

  • The larger the flow rate, the more heat it takes away, and the smaller the temperature difference; The smaller the flow rate, the greater the temperature difference

  • The microprocessor measures the temperature difference in real-time, calculates the corresponding flow rate value, and compares it with the preset value

  • When the flow reaches the set point, the output signal triggers an alarm or controls the device
