The 8396A capacitive accelerometer series products use silicon microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) variable capacitance sensor components. The sensor elements of each axis consist of a very small inertial mass and a curved cantilever element located between two plates. When the mass deflects under acceleration, the capacitance between the plates will change. The internal signal conditioner of the accelerometer is equipped with AC excitation and synchronous amplitude demodulation circuits, which provide an analog output signal proportional to the applied acceleration. This output signal is scaled proportionally to the voltage and proportional to the applied acceleration. The available output signal formats are bipolar 0 ± 4V, single ended 2.5 ± 2V, and differential 0 ± 4V or 0 ± 8V. The accelerometer is powered by a single regulated power supply with a voltage of 6-50VDC. If external compensation for output signals is desired, temperature output can be provided. The lightweight welded titanium shell contains sensor components and electronic devices; Equipped with a 9-pin circular connector or an integrated loose output cable, or a 9-pin D-Sub connector. Install sensors using any floating attachment, or use one side of the sensor with an integrated strong anode surface to bond and install the sensor to the test object, achieving insulation from the ground.
