The 4-port N7748C and 2-port N7747C optical power meters, as compact instruments equipped with front panel sensors, provide superior measurement accuracy and sensitivity. They serve as follow-up and direct replacement products for N7748A and N7747A, continuing the optical performance of the 81634B module. The instrument programming code is compatible with optical wave solutions.

The deepest dynamic range in the same series
These instruments are equipped with active heat dissipation InGaAs detectors and optimized high-performance analog electronic devices, with very low noise and drift, providing ultra-low and stable zero signal levels. Ultra high linearity and low polarization correlation help achieve peak accuracy across the entire power range.
-Power range of 110 to+10 dBm, with very low noise and drift
The uncertainty under reference conditions is 2.5%
The linearity within the range is less than ± 0.005 dB, which can achieve higher IL measurement accuracy
Analog output port suitable for automatic and semi-automatic alignment
The ultra-high sensitivity and new logarithmic analog voltage output are very suitable for use in probe and fiber alignment as well as other routine optimization operations. In such operations, a very weak initial signal level must be detected in order to perform real-time tracking, thereby increasing the signal level by several orders of magnitude. The analog output port voltage of each channel can be configured to be linearly or logarithmically proportional to the optical power level.
Analog output has linear or logarithmic feedback, which can be used forSouthofshouciLight detection begins to align
Standard BNC connector with 0 to 2 V output

Dual port and four port, equipped with user replaceable connector sockets
N7748C is equipped with four power sensor channels, while N7747C is equipped with two power sensor channels. Each port can be connected to a validated 81000xI connector interface, thereby complying with common fiber optic connector standards.
Large capacity storage and buffer can support data acquisition for scanning wavelength measurement and transient measurement
Each port can collect up to 1 million sample data per second
Continuous recording can be achieved by adding a memory of 1 M samples per port and a buffer of 1 M samples per port
The average time for each sampling is 25 µ s to 10 s
The comprehensive hardware and triggering concepts, as well as large capacity storage, enable the power meter to flexibly meet various testing needs
Transferred via LAN or USB and displayed on a graphical user interface (GUI) without the need for software installation
Accessing the instrument through a web browser will enter the graphical user interface. If there is no LAN connection, simply connect the instrument to the computer through the USB port. The instrument displays a new drive with a shortcut. Click on this shortcut to open the instrument connection using any modern browser: the graphical user interface will appear. The operation is so simple!
Continuously expanding series of products
The N7748C and N7747C continue the universal triggering concept and modern user interface of the N77-C series, which can be accessed through a browser for easy configuration of instrument functions. This instrument has high-speed measurement data acquisition capability and a data interface with faster transmission rate, and uses dual port RAM to perform measurements and read results simultaneously without interrupting any operation. In addition, the quick switching of power range function helps to avoid unnecessary delays during the measurement process and post-processing.
