Definition:Ion exchange mixed bed equipmentIt is a water treatment equipment used for deep desalination, which mixes cation and anion exchange resins in a certain proportion and fills them in the same exchange column to deeply remove various anions and cations in water.
Principle: Based on the principle of ion exchange, cations in water exchange with hydrogen ions on cation exchange resin, anions exchange with hydroxide ions on anion exchange resin, and the hydrogen ions and hydroxide ions generated by the reaction combine to form water, thereby achieving the removal of ions in water and purifying water quality.

Tank body: usually made of materials such as fiberglass, stainless steel lining, carbon steel lining, etc., used to accommodate ion exchange resin and serve as a space for ion exchange reactions.
Resin layer: It is composed of cation and anion exchange resins mixed uniformly in a specific ratio, and is the core part of ion exchange.
Water distribution system: including inlet and outlet devices, to evenly distribute the inlet water on the resin layer, ensure sufficient contact between the water flow and the resin, and collect the treated water.
Regeneration system: composed of regeneration liquid storage tank, delivery pump, injector, etc., used to regenerate failed resin and restore its exchange capacity.
Control system: used to monitor and control the operating parameters of equipment, such as flow rate, pressure, water level, etc., to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.

High effluent quality: It is often placed on the effluent side of single-stage reverse osmosis, and its core function is to deeply desalinate the reverse osmosis produced water to meet higher water quality requirements. The effluent resistivity can reach 15-18 M Ω. cm.
Stable water quality: Due to the uniform mixing of anion and cation resins, the removal of anions and cations is carried out synchronously throughout the entire exchange process, ensuring stable effluent water quality without any fluctuations.
Easy to operate: The equipment has a high degree of automation, and during operation, only the inlet flow rate, pressure and other parameters need to be controlled, making daily operations relatively simple.
Small footprint: The mixed bed places the cation exchange resin in the same tank, with a compact structure and smaller footprint compared to separate cation and anion beds.
