LDH-Blue ™ Cytotoxicity Assay （LDH-Blue ™ This high-performance colorimetric assay kit is used to determine the activity of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) in the supernatant of damaged cells. LDH-Blue ™ Can accurately read cell lytic death, including necroptosis, pyroptosis, ferroptosis, late stage apoptosis, and immune cell-mediated cytotoxicity.
Principle:
LDH is an enzyme that is stable in the cytoplasm and is released into the extracellular space when the plasma membrane is damaged. LDH-Blue ™ By coupling enzymatic reaction to detect extracellular LDH, this reaction can convert tetrazolium salt into blue formamide, causing the color of the culture medium to change from light red to purple. This color change is visible to the naked eye and can be quantified by a 650 nm spectrophotometer, which is directly proportional to LDH activity.
LDH-Blue ™ Contains four components (reagent mix (lyophilized), assay buffer, lysis buffer, stop solution). All components of the reagent kit are transported at room temperature, which greatly saves transportation costs compared to the dry ice transportation required for other LDH reagent kits.
