Unlike traditional systems that rely on inaccurate estimates of nitrification rates or use ammonium probes with computational delays, SICAIR uses continuous respiration to monitor bacterial respiration dynamics (OUR/AUR nitrification rates) in real-time and accurately automatically adjust aeration.

SICAIR works together with SN8 breathers and sewage plant SCADA to ensure that oxygen supply is precisely aligned with biomass demand at all times, thereby reducing energy consumption and maintaining the stability of biological processes. In addition, SICAIR can automatically adjust in case of accidents such as rainfall or overload, and apply real-time corrections without interrupting control.
