Online sizing agent concentration refractometerMeasurement based on the principle of optical total reflection. When light enters a low refractive index medium from a high refractive index medium, refraction and reflection phenomena occur. When the incident angle exceeds a certain critical value, all light rays are reflected back to the original medium. The size of the critical angle depends on the difference in refractive index between the two media.
The sizing agent solution is formed by dissolving or dispersing polymer film-forming substances in water, and there is a definite functional relationship between its refractive index and concentration.
The instrument sensor part mainly consists of LED light source, sapphire prism, and CCD detector. LED emits light, which is transmitted through optical fibers to one side of the sapphire prism. When the prism comes into contact with the solution of the sizing agent to be tested, the light undergoes refraction or total reflection at the contact surface, and some of the light is reflected back to the other side of the prism.
The position of total reflection light moves with the change of critical angle, which is determined by the refractive index of the liquid. Linear array CCD accurately detects the position of reflected light, with each position corresponding to a refractive index value. The measured refractive index signal and temperature signal are transmitted to the display transmitter through cables, and the CPU calculates and outputs real-time concentration values based on the preset concentration refractive index relationship curve.
Temperature is the main interfering factor in the measurement of sizing agent concentration. The refractive index of liquid changes with temperature, and if not corrected, it will cause measurement deviation.Online sizing agent concentration refractometerThe built-in temperature sensor monitors the process temperature in real-time and corrects the concentration output value based on a preset temperature compensation algorithm to ensure the accuracy of measurement results under different operating conditions.
